The OMEF GS250 is a professional excavator-mounted tree felling head and grapple saw, engineered for precision tree removal, controlled felling, pruning and timber handling.

Designed and manufactured in Italy, the GS250 combines a powerful hydraulic grapple, integrated chainsaw and 360° hydraulic rotation into one compact, versatile forestry attachment.

Unlike a conventional cutting attachment, the GS250 allows operators to securely grip a standing tree or branch, cut through the timber and retain control of the cut section for repositioning or lowering, subject to machine and attachment operating limits.

This grip, cut and hold functionality makes the GS250 an ideal solution for arborists, professional tree removal contractors, vegetation management operators, civil contractors and property maintenance applications.

Purpose-built for 3–5.5 tonne excavators, the GS250 delivers professional felling head capabilities in a compact, lightweight package.

Machine Compatibility & Hydraulic Requirements

The GS250 is designed for excavators in the 3–5.5 tonne operating class, subject to hydraulic compatibility, machine capacity and mounting specifications.

The standard configuration operates using two double-acting hydraulic circuits:

• One circuit for hydraulic rotation.
• One circuit for the grapple and integrated chainsaw operation.

A single hydraulic circuit configuration is available upon request.

Hydraulic quick-connect couplings and workshop installation are available at additional cost.

Warranty & Australian Support

The OMEF GS250 is backed by Hardwood Forest Products Australia and HFP Attachments, providing Australian-based product support.

24-Month Structural Warranty – Covering defects in materials and workmanship, comprising 12 months initial coverage and an additional 12 months provided by Hardwood Forest Products Australia.

12-Month Hydraulic & Mechanical Component Warranty – Covering manufacturing defects.

Warranty exclusions and conditions apply, including normal wear and tear, consumables, misuse, overloading and improper operation. All warranties are subject to our terms and conditions and applicable Australian Consumer Law.

Important Safety & Operating Information

Excavators operating grapple saws and tree felling heads must be equipped with appropriate polycarbonate operator protection and guarding.

Maximum cutting diameter and rated load capacity are separate specifications. Permissible tree section weights must be assessed against the attachment rating, excavator capacity, operating conditions and applicable safety requirements.

Machine compatibility and hydraulic specifications must be confirmed prior to supply.
