The OMEF GS400 is a premium Italian-made excavator-mounted tree felling head and grapple saw, engineered for professional tree removal, precision felling, sectional cutting and timber handling.
Designed for 5–10 tonne excavators, the GS400 combines a heavy-duty hydraulic grapple, integrated chainsaw and 360° hydraulic rotation into one powerful forestry attachment.
More than just a cutting attachment, the GS400 allows operators to securely grip a standing tree or branch, cut through the timber and retain control of the cut section for repositioning or lowering, within the machine and attachment's rated operating limits.
With a maximum cutting diameter of 400mm and a rated grapple load capacity of 1,500kg, the GS400 is ideal for professional arborists, forestry contractors, vegetation management operators, councils and specialist tree removal applications.

The OMEF GS400 is designed for excavators within the 5–10 tonne operating class, subject to machine specifications, lifting capacity and hydraulic compatibility.
Hydraulic Requirements:
- Hydraulic Flow: 30–60 L/min
- Operating Pressure: 220–250 Bar
- Two double-acting hydraulic circuits required
- One circuit for hydraulic rotation
- One circuit for grapple and chainsaw operation via solenoid valve

Warranty & Australian Support
The OMEF GS400 is supplied Australia-wide by HFP Attachments, with local technical and after-sales support through ST Engineering and Hardwood Forest Products Australia.
24-Month Structural Warranty – Covering defects in materials and workmanship, comprising the initial 12-month warranty and an additional 12 months provided by Hardwood Forest Products Australia.
12-Month Hydraulic & Mechanical Component Warranty – Covering manufacturing defects.
Warranty exclusions and conditions apply, including normal wear and tear, consumables, misuse, overloading and improper operation. All warranties are subject to our terms and conditions and applicable Australian Consumer Law.
Important Operator Information
Excavators operating grapple saws and tree felling heads must be equipped with appropriate polycarbonate operator protection and guarding.
Maximum cutting diameter and rated grapple load capacity are separate specifications. Permissible tree section weights must be assessed against the attachment rating, excavator lifting capacity and operating conditions.
Hydraulic quick-connect couplings, machine-specific mounting brackets, freight and installation are not included in the advertised base price unless otherwise specified.
